The Police Station and Town Hall Annex in Chatham, Massachusetts is more than just a building. It’s a safety net for the people in the community, and the surrounding areas. The materials used on this project weren’t just important, they were essential to the survival of these buildings, and the well being of the people who use them.
This project posed quite a unique challenge to local Architects, Designers and Contractors:
• Extreme weather conditions. Going from cold and foggy to hot and muggy within hours
• Chatham buildings have to be designed for earthquake loads
• Hurricane zone. Salt air, seawater and high winds are part of the everyday landscape
• Design/architectural choices must complement town’s picturesque style Integrity Solution
Knowing the specific conditions and requirements for this project, Architect Brian Humes knew right away Integrity products were the best solution. “With the strength and durability of Ultrex® fiberglass construction, and the extra protection IMPACT Products offer, Integrity was an easy decision for us to spec,” offered Brian.
Integrity windows are built tougher, last longer, and protect better. Their unique Ultrex fiberglass construction is 8 times stronger than vinyl, making it possibly the perfect building material. And IMPACT Products were designed for coastal areas. Integrity windows delivered, with unsurpassed value and ENERGY STAR® performance:
• IMPACT products with IZ3 ratings stood up to the tough coastal conditions — debris, pressure changes, and wind speeds up to 140 mph
• The Stone White cladding and Double Hung sashes with divided lites matched the unique Cape Cod architectural look with flair
• Project came in at proposed budget, satisfying the concerns of town officials and local taxpayers
