110,000-square-foot facility begins operations, welcomes 30 new Reno-based employees
Marvin opened its newest distribution center at 3030 Airway Drive in Reno, Nevada. This expansion will enhance the efficiency of Marvin’s distribution network and create additional jobs in the region.
Marvin’s dealer network and customer base has expanded on the West Coast and the new Reno Distribution Center will serve as a central hub where Marvin’s products will be consolidated, shipped and delivered to customers along the West Coast.
“This distribution center is a critical step in our commitment to providing exceptional service to our dealers and customers,” said Marvin President Darrin Peterson. “Marvin’s operations in Reno will further streamline enterprise logistics while allowing us to work even more collaboratively with our partners along the West Coast."
Marvin partnered with Tolles Development Company and Plenium Builders on the custom build-out, which includes thoughtful details such as LED lighting paired with natural light accessible through all parts of the facility and electric forklifts for reduced indoor air pollution and fuel costs.
“This facility represents Marvin’s dedication to operational excellence and continuous improvement,” added Marvin Director of Logistics Chris Hoerth. “By centralizing our operations, we can reduce transit times, enhance delivery accuracy and improve our overall efficiency. This is a significant milestone in our ongoing effort to further strengthen our distribution network."
