Total Rewards

The Marvin Companies’ Total Rewards package integrates both professional and personal benefits for employees and their families. It is a way for the company to give back to their employees for the contribution they make in The Marvin Companies’ success.

In addition to an employee’s base pay, below are some of the rewards that are included in The Marvin Companies Total Rewards package:

Paid Time Off:

The Marvin Companies offers employees various forms of time off, including Paid Time Off (PTO, Vacation or Personal Days) and paid holidays.

Profit Sharing Plan:

The Profit Sharing Plan gives employees some of their reward in cash, while the rest is deferred into their retirement account. They also have the option to put the “cash” that is given to them directly into their 401(k) Account.

401(k) Retirement Plan:

Marvin employees’ 401(k) contributions come out of their paycheck, saving them money on state and federal taxes. Currently, the company matches 2% of compensation if you contribute 6% of your pay into the plan.

Insurance:

  • Medical Insurance Plan: Employees are offered 2 plans (a $350 Deductible Plan and a $2600 Deductible & HSA Plan). Coverage for family members is also an option.
  • Flexible Spending Account: Employees are able to pay for eligible medical and/or dependent care expenses on a tax-free basis.
  • Health Savings Account: This option is available to employees who elect the Marvin 2600 Plan. It allows you to pay for eligible medical expenses on a tax-free basis. The company will contribute to an employee’s HSA based on a match system, level of coverage elected, and participation in the Wellness Incentive Program.
  • Dental Insurance: Employees have access to preventative and diagnostic care, as well as coverage for oral surgery, restorative work, prosthetic care and orthodontics.
  • Vision Insurance: Offers Marvin employees and their families great coverage on exams, eyewear and contact lenses.
  • Voluntary Benefits: offered to provide financial protection for you and your family that medical insurance doesn’t cover. Includes Accident and Critical Illness.
  • Basic Life Insurance: This plan ensures that the employee and their loved ones have the financial assistance when faced with a loss of life. It also provides employees with Basic Dependent Life Insurance for their spouse and any children under the age of 26. This is a free benefit that is offered to you; the company pays the cost.
  • Supplemental Life Insurance: Employees have the opportunity to purchase additional Voluntary Life Insurance through affordable group rates. They can elect up to 5-times their annual rate of pay through this plan. Rates are based on your age.
  • Disability Insurance: The Marvin Companies’ Short- Term Disability Plan gives employees the opportunity to “buy-up” to 60% income replacement until they return to work, lasting up to 26 weeks. The optional Long-Term Disability Plan gives employees 60% income replacement as well, beginning after 26 weeks of a disability. Rates are based on your age.

Zach, Research & Development Intern, Warroad

“As an intern of Marvin Windows and Doors, I get to experience new things related to my field of study every day. I work in Material Science dealing with many of the sealants used in production. I create samples, test them, gather the data, and analyze it. I get to take all the knowledge I have gained in classes and apply it to a real work environment. My internship has allowed me to become an active member in the research and development community.

I encourage future interns to keep an open mind and explore all the opportunities made available to you during your internship. Get to know the people you work with! The experience is what you make it!”

Madeline, Engineering Intern, Integrity-Fargo

“The Engineering Internship Program at Integrity-Fargo has allowed me the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and use what I learn in class and apply it professionally. I work on control plans for production, layouts to improve efficiencies in maintenance, and standard operating procedures for displays. I get to experience new things all the time, and I have a much better understanding of the engineering field.

If you are thinking about an internship, I would definitely recommend one here. I feel more confident in my choice to pursue engineering as a career after working on the various projects throughout the summer. Jump on opportunities as they come and keep busy!”
