At Marvin, we know that reducing, reusing and recycling really do make a difference. We’re proud that our windows and doors are:
ReusableMarvin products are built for enduring performance, so it is a great idea to reuse our windows and doors that are in good operating condition. Of course, proper removal, installation and code compliance are essential.
RecyclableMarvin windows and doors are not designed to be taken apart easily, but when disassembled, the major components (wood, glass or aluminum) can be recycled.
Our product packaging is also recyclable.
RepairableWe make it easy to maintain and repair our products by providing replacement glass, replacement sash, operating hardware and more.
Full of recycled content:
- Glass. Batches typically contain 15%-33% crushed scrap glass.
- Aluminum. The extruded aluminum we use contains up to 40% reclaimed aluminum, and the rolled aluminum is over 98% recycled.
- Wood. We recycle wood by finger jointing and edge-gluing smaller pieces.
Thoughtfully DesignedGood design often comes down to little things that can make a big difference to the environment - like choosing glues and silicone that contain less than 6 percent VOCs by weight, or improving finger-jointing and edge-gluing processes that increase the amount of wood utilized. Marvin has one of the lowest wood-waste percentages in the industry.
