Main Street Revival
Plainfield, Illinois, is located about forty miles southwest of Chicago. Since its founding in the 1820s it has been a small rural community. The last few decades, however, have brought explosive growth to the area. Wishing to make downtown Plainfield a destination for shopping and dining, the town developed a plan and funding program to renovate Lockport Street.
A major component of revitalization required replacement of windows to match the original design intent. New Marvin windows provided solutions for the storefront and upper floor openings by adding aesthetics, improved energy efficiency and easier maintenance.
