In the case of Central Union Mission, Marvin Signature was dealing with a protected landmark building. The team was challenged with the task of replicating windows that would have been there over 100 years ago. And, the building had shifted over time, so every single window was custom measured and custom-made. Using vintage photos from the Historical Society of Washington D.C., Marvin Signature designed custom Thorton casing with custom flashing to match the original 1881 windows. The result: an extraordinary historical window with contemporary performance.
