FAQ Knowledge Articles

All of Marvin fasteners exterior to the primary weather barrier use stainless steel as a standard on all of our clad and wood and door products. The stainless steel helps prevent corrosion and fasteners that are most exposed on the window and door units. On clad units this includes fasteners used in the clad casing, frame fasteners outside the nail fin kerf, and sash screws external to the main weather strip. For wood units , sash corner fasteners, external glazing bead fasteners that are exposed on a basic unit (a unit without casing) and casing and subsill fasteners will all be stainless steel.
