FAQ Knowledge Articles

Picture windows are units with the same frame and sash profiles as operating units, but with an inoperable sash.  Picture windows are available in numerous sizes with Casement, Awning, Double Hung, and Glider profiles.

Another stationary unit offering is a Direct Glaze unit available in Rectangular, Polygon, and Round Top profiles.  This particular configuration is glazed directly to the frame and does not utilize a sash.  This provides additional daylight opening for expanded sight lines.

For every product type available, we have a picture/stationary unit to match profiles and sight lines to that series of window.  See all windows here.  Some people may call this "fixed" or even associate it with a transom (which some people may call "flanker") window or windows next to it.
