Hall of Fame: 10 Years of Winning Projects
On the 10th anniversary of the Marvin Architects Challenge, we take a look back at some unforgettable winning projects.
The Marvin Architects Challenge celebrates stunning, original projects designed at the hands of architects from across the world. Creativity and ingenuity are table stakes in this competition, and projects that push the envelope in the areas of design are honored as our annual winners. As we reach the 10-year anniversary of this competition, we’re taking a look back at some crowd favorites.
Modern Masterpieces: It’s all clean lines and enormous glass for our modern winners. Angles play perfectly with wood and dark finishes reign supreme. From coast to coast, the simple modern appeal of these winners is undeniable.
Cozy Cabins: Each and every year, we get cabin fever as we watch the picturesque getaway entries roll in. Whether they’re snow-covered and glistening or sun-bathed lakefront dwellings, we wish for vacations at each and every one of them.
Modern Farmhouses: Since before it was trendy, architects have been perfecting the modern farmhouse-style home. Double hung windows, shiplap and crisp whites punctuate dreamy landscapes in these winning projects that put a modern twist on a traditional classic.
Hamptons-Style Havens: It’s all about shingles and shining water in these beach-front dwellings. Whether it’s just for the summer or a year-round retreat, these projects won for their seaside charm and eye for architectural details.
The 10th Annual Marvin Architects Challenge is now open for submissions. Architects can submit their entries to marvin.com/ArchitectsChallenge to be evaluated by an independent panel of esteemed architects, including Matt Kreilich, AIA, Takashi Yanai, FAIA and Jane Frederick, FAIA, ASID. For the first time, the competition has been expanded to include projects that exclusively feature Marvin solutions or are used in combination with Marvin product offerings.
