Our homeowner, a published mystery writer with a passion for the unexpected, had already purchased the bright red French Volnay range with plans to transform her hard-working and very dated kitchen into something spectacular. It was imperative this period kitchen renovation be accomplished within the existing footprint of her turn-of-the-century home. To create a more spacious feel and to pull in much needed daylight, the existing unheated back entry was opened up to the remodeled kitchen.
