Lake Living

Watch as a life is transformed by home design. George and Ann, a couple looking for relaxation, beauty and easy access to the outdoors, enlisted the
help of architect and author Sarah Susanka to design the home of their dreams. Marvin windows and doors were used to take full advantage of the scenic
views. Be sure to check back soon to see the finished home and learn how George and Ann are enjoying their new space.

Best-selling author, architect and cultural visionary Sarah Susanka is leading a movement to redefine the American home and lifestyle. Her “build better, not bigger” approach to residential architecture has been embraced across the country and her “Not So Big” philosophy is evolving beyond our physical habitations and into how we inhabit our lives. In both realms, she believes that Not So Big should be the first step in sustainability, both for our own well-being and for the well-being of the planet as a whole.

Susanka is the acclaimed author of eight best-selling books, including, “The Not So Big House” (Taunton Press, 1998), “Home by Design” (Taunton Press, 2004) “The Not So Big Life” (Random House, 2007) and most recently, “Not So Big Remodeling: Tailoring Your Home for the Way You Really Live” (Taunton Press, 2009).

For her participation in the myMarvin Project, Marvin Windows and Doors has made a donation in Sarah Susanka’s name to Maria’s Children.
