Our Favorite Home Trends for 2014

stand alone tub

Yes, we’re jumping the gun by a couple of days, but we can’t wait for the turn of the calendar to share some of our favorite trends for the coming year. Check out these topics as you plan for a new home or a remodel in 2014.

  • Stand-alone tubs. Hooray for this one! A nice soak in a hot tub is wonderful — unless you have your knees up around your chest in the short bathtubs found in so many modern homes. We applaud the movement toward elegant tubs that you can actually relax in.
  • Artful showers. When you don’t have time for a soak, you can make your daily grooming routine a lot more enjoyable with a distinctive shower.
  • Adding color. What 2014 trend report would be complete without a nod to Pantone’s Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid?
  • Distinctive window treatments. We’re proud of Marvin’s revolutionary interior shades, which integrate seamlessly into any window or patio door frame to offer unmatched beauty and ease of operation.
  • Designing with tile. Dramatic and durable, tile offers virtually endless design options for floors, counters and even walls.

How about you? What’s your design wish list for 2014?
