Marvin Windows Featured in Award-Winning Historic Renovation on Atlantic Coast

remodeling mag winner

This oceanfront home on Cape Ann in northern Massachusetts needed some serious updates to bring back its faded glory. Modern renovations in period style included Marvin windows. Above, a kitchen in the home’s guest wing was designed without upper cabinets to maximize the Atlantic Ocean view. The Marvin windows feature diamond-patterned muntins, a common style from a century ago.

This elegant 12,000-square-foot home, whose main structure dates from the 1890s, is a 2013 Remodeling Design Award-winner from Remodeling magazine. It took the prize in the category of “Historically Sensitive Renovation Over $300,000.”

Marvin makes products to fit just about any building project, but we’ve always been particularly proud of the strengths we bring to bear on historic renovations. Our custom capabilities and superior craftsmanship allow us to recreate any style. If you’re the owner of a historic home, Marvin should be your first stop in choosing new windows.
