Make no mistake, people want a home that looks, feels and functions better than its price would suggest. That means adding just the right accents that deliver value without adding to the price tag.
Claire Easley at BuilderOnline.com just posted a great list of 10 products that can offer a little extra something to the home without breaking its budget. (Her list is geared toward homebuilders looking to make a big sale, but the advice is just as relevant for homeowners — selling or otherwise.) In some cases, these extra features can provide that little push that turns a prospective buyer into a paying customer.
Here’s some of our favorites from Claire’s list:
WineKeep insulated modular wine storage room. These makeshift wine cellars offer a touch of glass at a fraction of the price. This is a great feature for those who love to entertain or collect.
Wavertown quartz surfacing from Cambria. More elegant the laminate but without the cost of granite or quartzite, this engineered stone option runs about $82-$92 per square foot.
Parma Single Handle Pre-Rinse Kitchen Faucet from Danze. Nearly $1,400 cheaper than most high-end, industrial units, this faucet is sure to be a conversation starter in any kitchen.
