Greenbuild 2013 wrapped up in Philadelphia last week with a performance by rock icon Jon Bon Jovi. But there were several other rock stars in attendance, including U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The real star, though, was Platinum LEED version 4, which was the subject of discussion and learning throughout the conference. LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, is transforming the way we think about how our buildings and communities are designed, constructed, maintained and operated across the globe. Comprehensive and flexible, LEED is a green building tool that addresses the entire building lifecycle recognizing best-in-class building strategies.
