Design Milk remodel: See the finished kitchen, with new patio door installed

We recently introduced you to Jaime Derringer, founder and editor of the popular blog Design Milk, and her kitchen remodeling project. Marvin partnered with Architectural Digest to tackle and document this project, an effort to bring Jaime’s kitchen — and, specifically, the large patio door that helps the indoor space bring in and blend with the outdoors — up to par with the rest of her beautiful mid-century California-style contemporary ranch home.

Today we have the follow-up video to share, showing the finished kitchen and discussing the details of the product selection and installation process. In addition to improving the style, function and energy efficiency with this new Marvin sliding patio door, the installation team discover a serious structural flaw with the existing door during the process — remedied, fortunately, before it caused any serious trouble.

Be sure to visit marvin.com to hear the story and see Jaime’s finished kitchen. You can read more about the project from Jaime herself at Design Milk, as well.
