Choosing the Best Hammock

cocoon-hammock-3

There’s one time when it’s good to leave people dangling — and that’s when they’re dangling in a hammock. Nothing says summer like a lazy afternoon hanging in the breeze with a cool drink and a good book.

I maintain that the old-fashioned rope hammock, strung between two trees, is the best. But not everyone has trees or other supports suitable for hanging a rope hammock, so the kind with a frame might be the choice of many. You also have to decide whether you like the mesh type that’s a little more forgiving, or the fabric type that’s more rigid.

Real Simple magazine highlights some great hammock choices, and Yard Envy has a nice guide to choosing the best hammock for you. Now, get out there and take it easy!
