Marvin Architect’s Challenge 2013: International Edition, Part 1

When Israeli architect Yonathan Monjack was commissioned to build a house near Tel Aviv, he knew that Marvin was the right window company to make this house come to life. His clients wanted a single-story home that seamlessly blended outdoors and indoors with expansive views of the surrounding countryside. Originally, they thought they would use local iron windows, but Monjack realized that Marvin — even though halfway around the world — could provide the level of customization and quality needed to make this house come to life.

A wide variety of Marvin products were used to achieve this goal, including Bay and Bow windows, Special Shape windows, Ultimate Casements, Ultimate Double Hungs and the Ultimate Swinging French Door. Monjack described the design of the house  as “like a romantic and fine embrace of the house to its lodgers.” Monjack also designed the house so that the house and the yard flowed together smoothly, in the hopes that instead of being separate and disparate entities, they would come together as one indoor/outdoor structure.

And with the classically beautiful design of the house, the pool, cellar and open floor plan, all set against the beautiful Isreali landscape, we’d definitely say that he succeeded! The windows, the house and the overall property all meld together into a lovely haven for its owners to enjoy for years to come.
