Whether your home is located along the Gulf Coast, in Dade County, Florida, on Long Island, New York, or anywhere in between, StormPlus has a product line specifically designed to meet the codes in your region.
Marvin's impact resistant windows and doors meet or exceed the strictest building codes with style, strength, and stunning beauty.
StormPlus windows and doors are engineered and tested to meet or exceed industry standards.
Strength with Elegance
StormPlus® windows and doors may feature graceful craftsmanship - and even sweeping expanses of glass - but they also help preserve your home's structural seal. They're certified for energy efficiency and rigorously tested by third party agencies to meet or exceed the most stringent coastal codes. They're designed to protect against flying debris, driving rain, cyclic pressure, temperature extremes and more. They can even provide enhanced security against break-ins, as well as insulation against outdoor noise.
Marvin's extruded aluminum cladding is substantially stronger than roll-form aluminum. In fact, our extruded aluminum is about the thickness of a quarter, where as roll-form aluminum is typically no thicker than a pop can.
Sun, salt, humidity and temperature changes take a toll on windows, doors, and hardware. Our StormPlus extruded aluminum clad products meet AAMA 2605, the American Architectual Manufacturer's Association's toughest specification for aluminum cladding. They're built tough with Fluropon®, a fluoropolymer finish with 70% PVDF, which heightens resistance to chalking, pitting, fading, corrosion and marring. Marvin's aluminum cladding goes through a five-step pretreatment process to ensure the finish adheres smoothly. And unlike roll-form aluminum, Marvin's clad extrusions are formed first and then painted - this results in superior adhesion and a consistently thick finish so that your Marvin clad products will retain their color and gloss for many years to come.
Marvin is committed to bringing you products of the highest quality and value. Our made-to-order manufacturing philosophy is one example of our commitment. Our warranty, another.
- All windows and doors made by Marvin are covered by a limited warranty against manufacturing defects that result in chalk or fade for 20 years from the purchase date.
- Marvin's 70% PVDF-finished aluminum cladding, stainless steel hardware, hardware with physical vapor deposition ("PVD"), and other specifically designated "coastal" hardware finishes (collectively "Coastal Hardware") are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects that result in abnormal corrosion or deterioration of the exterior cladding or finish for a period of 10 years from the original date of purchase.
- Non-Coastal Hardware and anodized or other specialty finishes are not recommended, and are not warranted in coastal environments. To view product-specific care instructions and complete warranty information for products in coastal environments, go to marvin.com/windows-and-doors/warranty.
The "Turtle Code"
Many StormPlus® products can be specified to meet Sea Turtle Conservation Codes, which help to reduce the light and reflection that can confuse sea turtle hatchlings. Thanks to this code, hatchlings get less disoriented and are more likely to find their way to the sea.
