Replacement Windows

WE ARE HERE TO HELP

We know how complicated replacing your windows can be, so we’re here to help simplify the process and clarify some of the most important considerations when managing your renovations. First, let’s highlight some of the major reasons homeowners decide to replace their windows.

Repairs

REPAIRS:

Over time, the parts of your window — the sash or frame — can become damaged, warp, or break. Even if these windows are still operable, they can develop problems. Old windows can lose insulation and become prone to fogging and icing, they might become drafty, or there might be warm or cool spots near the inside of the window. Windows also might stop working well, they might stick while opening or closing or they won’t stay open. Replacing your windows with Marvin means choosing a superior product, so you won’t be disappointed by low quality windows again.

Improving Energy Efficiency

IMPROVING ENERGY EFFICIENCY:

Replacing windows can also reduce your energy bills by boosting energy efficiency. Marvin offers a wide range of energy-efficient options and can tailor your windows to best suit your climate. Insulating glass is standard in all Marvin windows along with thousands of option that meet ENERGY STAR® Most Efficiency designation the highest standard for efficiency for the program.

Adding Beauty

ADDING BEAUTY:

Maybe you don’t like how your current windows look – the color is fading, the window material is warping or old screens or storm windows are detracting from the curb appeal of your home. Marvin takes special pride in the beauty and the details of all our products. And as an industry leader in color, materials and hardware choices you don’t have to compromise to get an upgraded look or to match existing windows or styles. Marvin also specializes in the unique sizes and trim details necessary in historic homes.

Improving The Interior

IMPROVING THE INTERIOR:

As part of a renovation, exchanging a picture window with a window that opens can create a more comfortable interior and improve airflow through your home. Alternatively, you might desire to increase a room’s natural light and decide to renovate by adding larger windows, or replace a bank of windows with one large window.

Discover Marvin Options

We want to help you find the right windows.

Here are some questions you might ask yourself when exploring replacement window options:

Low Maintenance Options

QAre there low-maintenance window options available?

AIf your biggest priority when renovating is finding a low-maintenance replacement, then you might consider our Integrity or Infinity brand windows as a solution. Our Ultrex® fiberglass has a patented finish that is three times thicker than the competitors; which ensures Integrity windows for a virtually maintenance-free finish that resists cracking, denting, chipping and peeling. You may also consider Marvin Windows with Extruded Aluminum Cladding, which is warrantied against chalking, fading, and peeling for 20 years.

Match Wood Color

QCan I easily match the color or wood of my home?

AMarvin has an abundance of options when you’re striving to match a window’s wood species or color to your home. Marvin windows have all wood interiors available in 6 species and wood or Aluminum Clad exteriors. Marvin has 19 standard exterior cladding colors or we can custom match any color you want to work with your home’s existing color palette.

Severe Weather Windows

QWill my new windows stand up to severe weather?

AIf you worry about the effects of sea salt, humidity, or coastal winds, consider Integrity windows made with Ultrex fiberglass. These windows resist corrosion and remain stable in extreme temperatures, with a material that expands at the same rate as glass. This means Integrity windows keep a great seal and insulate your home better. The Marvin Family of Brands also offers Marvin StormPlus® and Integrity IMPACT, solutions specifically designed and tested for homes in Hurricane Impact Zones.

Historic Home Windows

QWhat options are available for my unique or historic home?

ASometimes the most important concern when replacing windows is fitting into a unique space or finding historically accurate replacement windows. Marvin specializes in creating customized windows to match one-of-a-kind spaces as well as producing exact replicas — for example, replacement windows for historical homes. We offer traditional wood construction as well as single-glaze divided lite options to create authentic historical designs.

Request Information

We want to ensure you’re choosing the right product

Sometimes the biggest consideration behind your renovation is the type of window replacement or the project’s complexity rather than beauty or ease of use. But differentiating between all the window types and installation options can feel overwhelming. So here are some important factors to think about:

Ensuring The Right Product
Sash Replacement

QCan a simple sash replacement fix the problem?

ASash replacement is the least intrusive option when considering an update to your windows; it involves replacing only the part of the window that holds the glass (the sash) and the hardware. If the other parts of the window are in good condition, but the sash is failing this can be a quick and easy way to resolve your window problems. For this situation, Marvin has the Tilt Pac® Sash Replacement system.

Insert Window

QDid you know you can leave your interior and trim unchanged?

AMarvin, Integrity and Infinity all offer a wide array of insert replacement windows, which are installed directly into the existing frame, leaving it intact. This is a great solution if you don’t want to remove interior trim or exterior trim and siding. Inserting a new window into an existing frame can result in a slightly smaller overall opening for daylight. While vinyl insert replacement windows can significantly reduce the amount of glass in your new windows, Marvin inserts are made from much stronger materials, meaning you can keep more of the glass surface typically lost with bulky vinyl windows.

Replace Every Part

QIs the best option to replace every part of your window?

AOccasionally an entire window might be significantly out of square or deteriorating beyond repair. In cases like these, the best option is a fullframe window replacement. This includes replacing the sash and frame. Full-frame window replacements are also popular as part of larger room or house renovation projects.

Replace With Another Type

QDid you know that you can replace a window with another type?

AMany homeowners haven’t even considered changing the type of window while renovating. We can help you choose a window that makes it easier to use in certain spaces, such as replacing a double hung with a casement or awning over a sink, or replacing an awning window with a glider over a walkway or patio space.

Shade And Accessory Improvements

QAre you interested in shade and accessory improvements?

AIn addition to insert, full-frame, and sash replacements, Marvin also offers a wide variety of upgrades for window shades and accessories. These are great solutions when existing window accessories are damaged, or when improving your home’s amenities.
