The 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is in full swing and smart home technology is, to no one’s surprise, all the rage. The jury is still out on which manufacturer has introduced the most talked about innovation this year, but Whirlpool may be the leader the leader in the clubhouse with its CoolVox refrigerator, which enlivens the kitchen with music without taking up any precious counter space.
Not only does the refrigerator feature exquisite design, there’s a Bluetooth-enabled speaker built into the door, allowing users to stream their favorite music from a computer, tablet or smartphone. According to Whirlpool, the technology was created to let you “play what you want, when you want – helping you create the moments that matter most.”
If refrigerators can be built with speakers, it would seem anything is possible.
Is this something you would include in future projects?
Which appliance would you like to see include Bluetooth-enabled speakers?
