Crazy home inspections

Being a home inspector has got to be an interesting job. (Any home inspector readers out there care to comment?) To be an inspector, you need to have a deep understanding of building codes and best practices, which is no small order, but the role is an important one. Inspectors can be absolutely valuable in the home-buying process, sometimes saving clients from certain disaster.
But some things must truly make inspectors shake their heads. The Minneapolis Star Tribune recently covered some veeeeery unusual attempts to pass inspection.
This looks like an electrical accident waiting to happen, don’t you think?
Is this toilet even usable?
Oh look, a bone. We’ve got to imagine that a chill went up the inspector’s spine.
Have you heard any stories about weird/unsafe/creepy/funny things being found on a home inspection?
