Constructed 200 years ago, this renovation and addition by Patrick David Lennon of Project Architects in Dublin transformed what was originally a school for estate workers’ children and private chapel into a stunning historic residence.
Tynte Park Lodge, Dunlavin was constructed between 1810 and 1820. The original property was converted and used as a residence in the mid 1970s. In 1999, the present owner embarked on a renovation and addition to the property, extending the existing single-story building with a new two-story extension.
The addition added a kitchen/dining area, sitting room, and disabled-accessible shower on the main floor, and a master bedroom, dressing room, and office on the second story.
Upon completion of the stone-faced addition, the surrounding gardens were extensively planted and feature ponds installed. The installation of Marvin Windows and Doors throughout the addition frames restful views of the surrounding gardens, dramatic cornfields, and the majestic beech woods of Tynte Park House.
Marvin products used include Round Top Windows, Ultimate Casement Windows and the Ultimate Swinging French Door.
