2015 IBS: Day 1 HighlightsBy Sam Tuttle, Marvin Windows
Day 1 of the 2015 International Builders’ Show is in the books! The Las Vegas Convention Center was abuzz today with exciting new products and innovations from a variety of show booths. From awesome technologies to fun color trends, here are some highlights from our first day of the show.
Builders, manufacturers and consumers alike can’t get enough of expansive windows and doors. Our personal favorite? The Ultimate Multi-Slide, of course. This door brings the outdoors in like never before, and it will be available summer 2015. If you didn’t get a chance to see it yesterday, don’t miss it today at booth C5520!
Virtual Room Makeovers
Sherwin-Williams demoed its Color Visualizer Tools which make it easier than ever to visualize color in your space. Simply upload a photo of you room and then drag and drop a color. Instantly see the results of your makeover without lifting your paintbrush and committing to a shade.
You shouldn’t have to choose between design and energy efficiency when it comes to lighting. Kichler’s outdoor and energy-efficient lighting options combine two of our favorite things: style and functionality.
Another awesome technology from the adjacent Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) is TOTO’s Axiom faucet from its EcoPower line, which features a revolutionary self-generating hydropower system. Sleek, cutting edge and consumer-focused, it’s worth heading next door to check out the latest bathroom innovations.
A crowd favorite at IBS was the Heatilator Crave, a linear fireplace that offer a mix of technology and modern customization. The fireplace features a new touchscreen remote control smart system and you can choose between “colors of crushed glass, logs, clear LED light and your choice of two designer fronts.”
