Three must-see products from PCBC 2012

PCBC 2012 wrapped up yesterday in San Francisco after offering thousands of residential builders, architects and designers a glimpse at some of the smartest ideas and practices in the industry. The annual event offers attendees targeted educational forums, exclusive networking venues, a curated exhibit floor experience, product “matchmaking” sessions and and more, making it the country’s fastest growing trade show.

As with any builder tradeshow, PCBC offered up a fair share of cool new products. Here’s some of the coolest products we’ve seen. (Hat tip to Builder Magazine’s Nigel F. Maynard for helping find the best PCBC had to offer.):

Class 4 hail-rated Storm Series from Boral Roofing. Now this roofing was built to take a beating. Hail storms might not be as common as tropical storms, but all it takes is one storm to destroy a roof.

Boral Roofing claims its U.S.-made concrete roof product can withstand sequential two-inch hail stone impacts at speeds of up to 104 feet per second or 71 miles per hour. The roofing also provides a clean, sophisticated look.
