Professional Builder finds what buyers want from home exteriorBy Integrity Windows
Professional Builder recently released findings from its annual Home Exteriors Survey, and in what could hardly be deemed a surprise, great design/curb appeal, energy efficiency and a low-maintenance threshold were by far the most important areas of concern for buyers.
The survey was completely voluntary and without incentive, which may explain why only 168 of a possible 80,000-plus subscribers responded. However, builders can glean plenty from their fellows, namely that buyers want a house the looks great, performs well and won’t demand time and attention for upkeep. Build a home that checks those three boxes and the for sale sign shouldn’t be up for long.
